ARPA Committee

AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT

In order to find the best possible initiatives or projects to allocate the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars Ramsey County received during the recent Covid-19 pandemic, the Ramsey County Commission has empowered a committee to seek funding requests from governmental entities, non-profits, and charitable organizations. Private, for-profit, or individual requests will not be eligible. The resources available are limited and the needs across the community are great, therefore, the committee will be very selective of the various proposals we receive. However, we will not place limits on how much money can be requested for a single project, so long as it falls below the $2.2 million that the county received. The ARPA committee will not consider requests for sums less than $5,000. Projects which have matching public or private dollars will receive special consideration as well as those which have a positive impact on the most people in the Lake Region for the longest duration of time.

Given these criteria, the American Rescue Plan Act Committee has now opened the application window for proposals from March 15th, 2022 until August 30th, 2022. If you have a project request, please fill out the short application form found on the Ramsey County website. Please note that final decisions on which projects will be funded will not be made until the committee has made its recommendations to the Ramsey County Commission in September of 2022. The committee may also choose to request clarification on project details or to have a meeting with the proposer of the project to discuss matters pertinent to the request.
